0.0.5.X - Item Randomiser Mode!


Welcome to update 0.0.5!

This is my first two week work cycle so I have a bit more included in this update.

New Things:

  • Random Loot - This is the non-story mode where you literally just go about in proc gen'd dungeons and grab the highest value loot.
    This mode will be the default mode for a while since the story/narrative mode is in its early stages.
  • Item Category Icons - With the Random Loot mode comes icons for what you're collecting! In the near future there will be a blog post about why I went with category icons rather than unique ones.
    There are also some UI updates to go with the new mode, things such as removing the desciption text and generally making the area a bit smaller.
  • Section Names - These names divide the generated dungeons into areas, currently these are completely randomised so will make no sense in relation to each other. I do have a plan for this though, it'll be coming in the next update.

Bug Fixes:

  • Door detection didn't fire correctly.
  • Emptiness now correctly spawns.
  • When clicking away from the item collection window it wouldn't register input.
  • Helper windows wouldn't disappear.

I'm very much enjoying having more time to work on features and tweaks so this two week release cycle will be here to stay for the future!
